The aforementioned observations give rise to the question of whether these changes to executive compensation have been developments in the right direction. In order to answer this question, research has been conducted on remuneration as an incentive and the way that the amount of the remuneration is determined.
The second part of this research explores the hidden side of the modern remuneration issue, investigating whether critical comments can be made about the structure or the level of executive compensation.
