The Council of the European Union has released the statements delivered by Denmark on behalf of the 27 EU Member States at the first and second sessions of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee on the United Nations Framework Convention on International Tax Cooperation.

At the first session, the EU stressed that the Framework Convention should rest on equity, transparency, efficiency, legitimacy, and certainty, while respecting tax sovereignty. It supported high-level, non-self-executing commitments, with the first protocol building on existing work on digitalisation and the second on established dispute prevention and resolution frameworks.
