The insurer shall take all reasonable steps to settle a claim promptly.

(2)

Unless the insurer rejects a claim or defers acceptance of a claim by written notice giving reasons for its decision within one month after receipt of the relevant documents and other information, the claim shall be deemed to have been accepted.
