This subsection addresses the issue about the independence criteria. This is important for the discussion about independence, because the independence criteria are used to determine the independence of a supervisor. Supervisor refers to supervisory directors in a dual board structure as well as NEDs in a unitary board structure. In addition to director independence, the board composition requirements, board committee composition requirements and other independence recommendations of the DCGC are elaborated upon. These subjects are described below.
