180 Need for synthesis of perspectives.

Before moving on to articulating specific recommendations for corporate legal reform, I will define a general approach for synthesizing the perspectives in Dutch corporate law. The general aim of this thesis has been to develop an overview of the potential arguments for legal reform, by constructing the most coherent and convincing version of each perspective in relation to the inclusion of social and ecological interests. Both the propositions developed in chapters 4-6 and the summaries below are therefore my own interpretation of the perspectives in an attempt to present the strongest and most convincing version of each perspective. In my view, these perspectives are best considered as complementary approaches to corporate governance. Rather than excluding each other, I argue that each perspective highlights a vital aspect of corporate reality. I will therefore argue in section 7.3 that an integrated approach is necessary in which the insights from all of the perspectives are leveraged for a complete understanding of legal corporations.
