The UNGC provides a voluntary framework for organizations composed by ten principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption. Once the organizations commit themselves to these principles, they have to integrate the principles into their businesses operations and report on progress through an annual Communication on progress COP).1 The GRI guidelines are compatible and complementary to this process. Besides, they had to contribute to the Millennium Development Goals and since 2015, to the Sustainable Development Goals.2
