In its essence, this dissertation consists of 5 papers, which have been published in Dutch legal journals. The 5 corresponding research questions are as follows:

Which valuation issues does a valuation practitioner experience when being assigned as independent valuator in order to prepare a share value for the purpose of a procedures in respect of transfer restrictions (blokkeringsregeling)?

Which conceptual valuation questions are applicable in respect of a Dutch pre-insolvency scheme, especially in respect of the tests that are applicable to the cross class cram down?

What kind of role does option value have in respect of a Dutch pre-insolvency scheme?

Under Dutch law, is a creditor entitled to credit bid and what is the role of valuation in respect of such a bid?

Which valuation standards do apply to Dutch corporate law proceedings and which kind of valuation framework applies in respect of valuation assignments in respect of Dutch corporate proceedings?
