The Monitoring Committee concludes in its most recent study of the Bedrijvenmonitor 2020, published on 29 January 2021, that the target figure legislation ‘has had too little effect’ and that the representation of women on management and supervisory boards ‘has been rising at a snail’s pace’.1 However, the Monitoring Committee states that the target figure is of course better than having no measures at all.2 The Monitoring Committee concludes that a mandatory quota could be an effective means for getting more women to the corporate top.3
