The AA1000 Assurance Standard (AA1000AS) is an assurance standard developed in 2008 by AccountAbility to provide companies with assurance on sustainability reporting.1 “It provides a methodology for assurance practitioners to evaluate the nature and extent to which an organization adheres to the AccountAbility Principles.”2
