Although the new research methodology in the Nyenrode Study I and the Nyenrode Study II required some effort on the part of the companies, the overall response was relatively high. Table 4.1 details the research population and the response rate of the Dutch listed companies per stock exchange index.

It must be noted here that with regard to the Nyenrode Study II, the companies were not obliged to answer the questions with regard to the specific subjects, in contrast to which was the case in the Nyenrode Study I.3 Therefore, the number of answers concerning the specific subjects study for the Nyenrode Study II differs from the total response number in this study.
