The discussed case studies could contribute to an understanding of the day-to- day complexities and practical problems that emerge in the governance of a CIC. In particular, the findings of these studies could shed light on the actual functioning of CIC governance. They could provide inspiration in relation to the development of stakeholder engagement, involvement mechanisms and standardised processes in other UK social enterprises. All could be done in the context of examining the implementation of the applicable regulatory regime and the ways in which social entrepreneurs choose to deal with it.
