The research shows that the findings contribute mostly to the theoretical framework that was developed in this PhD research, and accordingly contribute mostly to the theoretical lens of liberal feminism. The research showed that for most of the barriers and interventions identified, liberal feminism can be a useful approach. However, the research also hints at the fact that organizational culture and the organizational processes are gendered as explained in this PhD dissertation. The findings of the gendered organizational culture and organizational processes are in line with critical feminist studies such as socialist and post-structuralist feminism and is contrary to liberal feminism. Interventions to change gendered organizations lie in transformational interventions, which are not in line with liberal feminism. It was not part of this PhD research to investigate these transformational interventions, but it is a recommendation for future research (Section 6.5).
