9.2.4 The independence criteria and their application

This subsection addresses the issue about the independence criteria. This is important for the discussion about independence, because the independence criteria are used to determine the independence of a supervisor. Supervisor refers here to SNEDs in a Swedish board structure. The SCCG 2010 makes a distinction between independence from the company and its executive management and independence from major shareholders. Both types are described below. Furthermore, board and board committee composition requirements and other independence recommendations of the SCCG 2010 are elaborated upon.
