Abstract
We have developed a single case study that examines the participatory gov-ernance model of a work integration social enterprise (hereafter ‘WISE’) in Greece which aims at the integration of persons with mental disabilities. The case study examines particularly how legal requirements tailor-made to social enterprises accommodate the participation of persons with mental disabilities in the governance structure of the examined social enterprise and how these are implemented in practice. The study aims to contribute to the concept of ‘human-istic management’ which aspires to the promotion of dignity and human virtue of every person in an organisational context by means of fair and participatory decision-making.
