The aim of this research is twofold. First, I attempted to establish whether the UCITS Directive provides adequate and uniform protection for unitholders in a UCITS. The second is to increase knowledge in the Netherlands of the UCITS regulations by describing them in a systematic way.

In this chapter, I answer the main research question. But before doing so, I will provide a summary of the research.
